Maggie Parker
Director for Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness

As director, Maggie serves as the main point of contact for campus on matters related to institutional accreditation by SACSCOC and has primary responsibility for ensuring and documenting UGA’s compliance with SACSCOC accreditation requirements. In addition, she plays a key role in the university’s institutional effectiveness processes, including supporting the university’s strategic planning process, tracking progress on institution-level goals, and facilitating the development and use of data systems and analytic tools that support decision-making.
Maggie has worked at UGA since 2008, most recently serving as the associate director for accreditation. Maggie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology, master's degree in public administration and policy, and doctorate in higher education from UGA.
Lea Campbell

Lea joins UGA from the University of Houston – Downtown, where she was responsible for the university’s SACSCOC accreditation as well as campus-wide assessment efforts. She has 26 years of experience in higher education leadership including instruction, accreditation, workforce development and related grant management, federal and foundation grant development and management, curriculum design, assessment, credit and non-credit course design, faculty supervision, student services and college administration and five years of experience in nonprofit management.
In her role as associate director for accreditation, Lea supports institutional accreditation processes and strategic planning. Lea holds a doctorate in higher education leadership from the University of Texas at Austin, a master's degree in mathematics and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Eastern New Mexico University.
Katie Chapman
Program Review Coordinator

Katie has worked at UGA since 2014. Her career began in the Poultry Science Department, where she worked with undergraduate students in professional development and advising while managing department communication outreach and alumni relations. Katie’s role as Program Review Coordinator in the Office of Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness began in 2016. Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communication, a master’s degree in adult education, and a doctorate in learning, leadership, and organization development from UGA.
