Amstutz was appointed Associate Provost for Academic Programs in 2013. She is responsible for overseeing annual institutional academic programs such as Commencement, Honors Day and the Charter Lecture Series; developing new academic programs and initiatives; and benchmarking UGA's academic policies with peer and aspirational institutions. An adjunct assistant professor of English, she holds a Ph.D. degree from Washington University in St. Louis and previously served for 16 years in the Office of the President, first as assistant to the president for academic affairs and then six years as chief of staff.

Fite serves as the main contact for the Office of Academic Programs, provides primary support for the work of the office, and coordinates the annual activities of UGA’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Arriving at UGA in 2009, she previously served as program coordinator in the Office of the Vice President of Public Service and Outreach.
