Women’s Leadership Fellows Program
The University of Georgia has established the Women’s Leadership Fellows Program to provide a selected group of current University of Georgia faculty and administrators with dedicated time to develop and hone leadership skills and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities confronting research universities. A particular focus of the program will be on the issues women face in academic administration. Fellows will attend a monthly meeting where they will learn from senior administrators on campus, as well as visiting speakers from academia, business and other fields. The program also will feature a concluding retreat with more in-depth learning, to be held Thursday-Friday, June 1-2, 2017.

Participants will be UGA faculty holding an administrative position at the level of department head, program coordinator or director, assistant vice president or above. A cohort of six to 10 Fellows will be selected in the fall semester. A selection committee will review the submissions and make recommendations to the Provost.
Nominations by deans and other senior administrators are welcome, as are self-nominations. Nominators should submit application materials to Dr. Meg Amstutz, associate provost for academic programs, at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, Sept. 26, 2016. The application materials should include:
