Finalists announced in Executive Director of the Innovation District Search – August 19, 2024
Finalists have been announced in the search for the Executive Director of the Innovation District. They will come visit campus in August and September to meet with members of the university community, and each will make a public presentation from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the Delta Innovation Hub. Recordings of the candidates’ presentations will be available on this site 24-48 hours after the presentation.

A 10-member committee chaired by Nathan Moore, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, has been appointed to conduct a search for the next Executive Director of the Innovation District. In addition to Moore, the committee members are:
- Derek Eberhart, Associate Vice President for Research and Executive Director of Innovation Gateway
- Bob Pinckney, Director of the UGA Entrepreneurship Program
- Kyle Tschepikow, Executive Director of Business Engagement in the Office of Business Engagement, Development and Alumni Relations
- Allan Adams, State Director of the Small Business Development Center
- Glen Nowak, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies and Co-Director of Center for Health & Risk Communication, Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication
- Hitesh Handa, Associate Professor in the School of Chemical, Materials and Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering, and Innovation Fellow
- Andrew Potter, Director of University Experiential Learning, Office of Instruction
- Naola Ferguson-Noel, Professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine and National Academy of Inventors Fellow
- Alison McCullick, Director of Community Relations in the Office of Government Relations
