Keys to UGA: New Faculty Academy (NFA) event for October is an orientation from the
Office of Research, an opportunity to learn about research resources, programs and facilities, and to
meet with Office of Research staff. Although the event was developed to welcome new
faculty to UGA as part of the “Keys to UGA: New Faculty Academy” series, all faculty
and researchers are welcome to attend. Registration is required.
This orientation will feature key information and updates about starting a research
program at UGA; sponsored projects, pre- and post-award; internal grants and awards;
compliance, including biosafety, research safety, environmental safety, human subjects
and animals; core facilities; support services and research resources; technology
commercialization and startups; research communications; and more.
This information session will be immediately followed by opportunities to interact with personnel who run programs to support research and collaboration; Writing, submitting, and managing grants and contracts; Research integrity, safety and compliance; Industry engagement, entrepreneurship, and innovation; Core research laboratories, facilities, and services; and, Office of Research centers and institutes.
