Affordable Course Materials Grant

Through the Affordable Course Materials Grant program, faculty members can receive $5,000 to support the transition from costly course materials such as textbooks to educational resources that are free for students or cost less than $40.

The Affordable Course Materials Grant program, which is being administered by the UGA Libraries and the Center for Teaching and Learning, is open to all full-time faculty. Information on past recipients is here.

Criteria: Grant submissions will be evaluated for impact (dollars saved/student and size of student population impacted) and sustainability of project.

Eligibility: All full time faculty (Academic Professionals, Instructors, Lecturers, Assistant, Associate and Full Professors, etc.) may apply for this grant. Applications from teams (e.g. groups of instructors teaching the same course) also will be accepted.

Submission: Grant proposal submissions should be submitted using the application form at this link and are due November 15, 2019. Applicants will be notified of their funding status by December 15, 2019.
