A 10-member committee has been appointed to begin the search for candidates for the position of Executive Director of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence.

The committee is chaired by Robert Perdisci, Patty and D.R. Grimes Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Privacy in the School of Computing.

In addition to Dr. Perdisci the search committee members are:

  • Sun Joo (Grace) Ahn, Professor, Department of Advertising and Public Relations, and Director, Computer-Human Ecosystems Lab, Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication
  • Jennifer Gay, Associate Professor, Department of Health Promotion and Behavior, College of Public Health
  • Kyle Johnsen, Professor, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Director, Georgia Informatics Institutes
  • Gerald Kane, Department Head, C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry Chair of Business Administration and Professor, Department of Management Information Systems, Terry College of Business
  • Meredith Metcalf, Senior of Development, Franklin College of Arts and Sciences
  • Jin Sun, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, School of Computing
  • Harshavardhan Thippareddi, John Bekkers Professor in Poultry Science, and Associate Dean for Research, College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences
  • Kimberly Van Orman, Lecturer, and Undergraduate Coordinator, Institute for Artificial Intelligence
  • Xiaoming Zhai, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Education, Mary Frances Early College of Education, and Director, AI4STEM Education Center
