Honors Week 2025 set for March 31 – April 4
The University of Georgia will celebrate Honors Week 2025 from March 31 to April 4, with a series of events that highlight the excellence of the university’s students, faculty, staff and alumni.
“Honors Week is a time to applaud the accomplishments of individuals who help make the University of Georgia one of the nation’s premier public universities,” said S. Jack Hu, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost. “Our university community is thankful to the exceptional faculty, staff, students and alumni who are being honored this year for their commitment to excellence.”
The tradition of Honors Week at UGA stretches to the 1930s, when then-Chancellor S.V. Sanford set aside a day to recognize outstanding students. In 2011, the event was expanded to a full week to include events recognizing faculty, staff and alumni.
