The following fellowships and travel funding grants support the professional development of faculty and encompass teaching, research, and service.
Other Fellowships
Sarah Moss Fellowships provide funds for travel and related expenses for tenure-track faculty of the University of Georgia pursuing advanced scholarship, research, and study in institutions of higher learning abroad and in the United States.
SEC Academic Leadership Development Program (ALDP) Fellowship
The mission of the SEC ALDP is “to identify, develop, prepare, and advance faculty and early career administrators from within the Southeastern Conference universities.”
The Study in a Second Discipline Fellows Program promotes interdisciplinary research and teaching among UGA academic units by providing tenured faculty an opportunity to extend the range of their knowledge through the study of disciplines outside their primary discipline.
Women’s Leadership Fellows Program
The Women’s Leadership Fellows Program provides a selected group of current faculty and administrators with dedicated time to develop and hone leadership skills and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities confronting research universities.

National Service and Engagement Faculty Travel Grants
The National Service and Engagement Faculty Travel Grants program offers support to faculty to share their expertise with elected officials and federal agencies in service of our nation.
State-of-the-Art Conference Grants
State-of-the-Art Conference Grants provide UGA faculty the opportunity to organize a unique conference at the University of Georgia that facilitates new interaction between national and international scholars and UGA faculty and students.
Travel Support for Faculty, Postdoctoral Scholars, and Graduate Students
Funding is available to support travel for faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers who have been invited to present their research or scholarship at academic conferences.
