Interim Assistant to the Provost and Director for Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness

Dr. Maggie Parker serves as the interim assistant to the provost and director of the Office of Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness at the University of Georgia. As director, Maggie serves as the primary campus resource for matters related to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation requirements. She also provides oversight for ongoing institutional effectiveness processes, including academic program review, support unit review, administrator review and strategic planning. She works closely with administrators, faculty and staff across campus to ensure UGA’s ongoing compliance with SACSCOC and University System of Georgia requirements. As interim assistant to the provost, her responsibilities include support and leadership for strategic academic initiatives and events, supervision over the administrative functions of the office and managing special projects for the provost. Maggie has been at the University of Georgia since 2008, serving in the Office of Instruction, Office of Academic Planning, and Office of Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness, prior to her work in the Office of the Provost. Maggie earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in public administration,and a doctoral degree in higher education from the University of Georgia.
