Board of Regents Policy Manual

University System of Georgia (USG) policies and procedures govern, control, and manage USG and all USG institutions, including the University of Georgia. The authoritative source concerning Board-approved policies and procedures governing academic matters is the Board of Regents Policy Manual.

University Statutes

The University of Georgia Statutes are expressly subject to the Policies of the University System of Georgia Board of Regents. In case of any divergence from or conflict with these Policies, such Policies shall prevail.

UGA Policy Library & Academic Policies

The university’s academic policies and procedures are housed in the UGA Policy Library. Guidelines for the promotion, tenure and evaluation for different faculty ranks are maintained by the Office of Faculty Affairs.

The University of Georgia is committed to the American Council on Education's Statement on Academic Rights and Responsibilities, which has been adopted by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.
