The Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at the University of Georgia is seeking nominations for the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 Provost’s Seminar Series lectures. This lecture series seeks to enrich the campus community by bringing leading researchers and scholars in the arts, sciences, engineering, and medicine to the University of Georgia to share their ideas.
To be eligible for consideration, a nominee must be a member of one of the following academies:
- American Academy of Arts and Sciences
- National Academy of Sciences
- National Academy of Engineering
- National Academy of Medicine
- Nominations for the Provost’s Seminar Series should be submitted online via this form.
Nominations will be considered on a rolling basis, and up to two speakers will be invited each Fall and Spring semester. The Provost’s Office will cover a nominal honorarium for the speakers. Travel expenses will be reimbursed for lectures if state and public health guidance allows for travel at that time.
The nominators and their respective unit head or dean are expected to serve as hosts for their selected speaker. Talks given through the Provost’s Seminar Series are also eligible for designation as a Signature Lecture.
