Keys to UGA: University Operations and Tools for Faculty Success

Would you like to gain insights into effectively navigating UGA systems as you build
early career success? At this virtual, interactive event, participants will have an
opportunity to meet with peers and select academic leaders to discuss the challenges
and opportunities of faculty life within a large research university. The Interim
Vice President for Instruction and her team will delineate resources that enrich the
academic lives of students and support instructional efforts. The Associate Provost
for Faculty Affairs and other leaders will share observations about crafting a fulfilling
career at UGA. Participants will have time to reflect on and share the experiences
of their first year at UGA.

Come and find out more about the UGA Innovation District, the University of Georgia’s campus-wide initiative to accelerate innovation and
entrepreneurship. Participants will learn how the Innovation District helps faculty
commercialize their research, engage with industry, and provide students experiential
learning. This social event will consist of networking, drinks and light hors d’oeuvres,
and an opportunity to view the Innovation Hub, UGA’s faculty startup incubator.

Promotion and Tenure Workshops
The Office of Faculty Affairs provides multiple workshops related to promotion and
tenure. Faculty are encouraged to attend a workshop during their first year. Please
