Visiting Researchers

The category Visiting Researchers/Scholars was created by the Offices of the Vice President for Research and International Education.  The terms Visiting Researcher and Visiting Scholar refer to those mid- to long-term visitors who are coming to UGA to participate in research or scholarship for a period of time significant enough to require access to facilities (e.g. library, transportation) but are not UGA employees, UGA enrolled students or instructors of UGA courses.

If these visitors are enrolled at UGA or compensated by UGA, then normal admissions and employment practices are involved. Adjunct faculty members (non-paid) or those who will be involved in formal instructional roles of UGA academic courses must follow faculty appointment procedures.
