Drones for Agriculture

A team of UGA researchers is developing a robotic system of all-terrain rovers and unmanned aerial drones that can more quickly and accurately gather and analyze data on the physical characteristics of crops.

  • Bioenergy Day @ UGA

    More than 200 Athens seventh-graders experienced how wood and other organic materials generate energy at the Bioenergy Day @ UGA. In this video, Professor Janet Westpheling discusses how she and her colleagues at the university's the Bioenergy Systems Research Institute are working with partners in academia, industry and the community to help give students a glimpse of the future of energy.   • Dawg Day of Service 2013

    More than 600 UGA students, faculty and staff recently volunteered at 19 different sites around Athens-Clarke County as part of the Dawg Day of Service. Clarke Middle School, Project Safe, Brooklyn Cemetery, the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, the Athens Area Homeless Shelter and Nuci's Space were among the organizations served.     GRU/UGA Medical Partnership students Sierra Green and Erik Hansen have finished their first surgery rotations in their third year and are now continuing into their fourth and final year of medical school.
