The Office of Faculty Affairs provides ongoing professional enrichment to faculty and academic leaders across their careers. Faculty Affairs focuses on academic leadership, faculty onboarding, career advancement, promotion and tenure, peer mentoring, and scholarly productivity. With attention to community building and interdisciplinary dialogue, we offer events, workshops, workshop series, cohort programs, and in-person and virtual services. Rooted in relevant scholarship, our programs employ best practices in educational development and draw on the expertise of UGA researchers and practitioners.

Faculty and Leadership Development (FLD) is a subunit within Faculty Affairs, which is led by Associate Provost Elizabeth Weeks. The FLD team includes Mary Carney, Senior Director of Faculty and Leadership Development; Sherri Bennett, Assistant to the Vice Provost; and Rachel Harris, Program Manager for Faculty Affairs.
