New Faculty Orientation 2024 will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, and Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Georgia Center in Athens. Provost S. Jack Hu will welcome you and share his thoughts on advancing excellence in teaching, research, and service. UGA leaders and award-winning faculty will speak about UGA’s tripartite mission, strategies for enhancing success, and Bulldawg traditions, legends, and lingo. Incoming faculty will interact with offices across our institution at a resource fair and get to know one another through lunches and a reception with deans and senior leaders. All new faculty are strongly encouraged to attend both days.
