Keys to UGA: New Faculty Academy
Faculty Leadership & Development
Keys to UGA is a year-long series of events that provides incoming and early career faculty with resources and information valuable to success. All faculty are welcome.
The competencies enriched in this workshop series vary by individual workshop, but the overarching goal is to provide early career faculty with information and resources to smooth their transition into faculty roles. Some competencies covered in this series include preparing for teaching at UGA, connecting with key research and other offices, knowledge of best practices in mentoring, awareness of tools and habits for effective time management, and understanding of how faculty build successful careers.
Keys to UGA sessions are geared to new and early career faculty, but open to all faculty. Registration for August events will be embedded in invitation emails sent to incoming faculty in summer.
Information for the August sessions is linked below. Registration for these sessions will be embedded in invitation emails sent to incoming faculty in June (and for those hired later throughout July, as needed). Please email the Office of Faculty Affairs for more information.
