The Office of Faculty Affairs offers a range of workshops related to success and career progression, particularly related to promotion and tenure.

The online news site Inside Higher Education offers a section on Career Advice that is of value faculty and academic leaders. In addition, faculty have access to NCFDD, a professional development resource. Sponsored by the Office of Inclusive Excellence, faculty membership provides a weekly email Monday Motivator, monthly Core Curriculum Webinars, a series entitled Hidden Handbook, monthly Guest Expert Webinars, a 14-Day Writing Challenge and much more.

The Office of Faculty Affairs also supports UGA Elements, a web-based system that enables the university to collect, search, and report on the research, scholarship, creative works, and professional activities of faculty. The system helps users find research collaborators using the Explore search, helps administrators track their unit members’ achievements, and can generate activity and summary reports for many uses. All UGA faculty members are expected to maintain up-to-date profiles as part of the annual performance evaluation process.
